Message from Commodore Mike Gaff
Happy Spring! Although, I don't think Maryland has quite gotten the memo yet. We really lucked out without having major snow this year and what we did get didn't stick around for long. The clubhouse did sustain some winter damage, but the issues have already been addressed and repairs are underway.

Thank you to Fleet Captain Randy for another fun-filled landcruise. The clubs you lined up this year were simply amazing. Everyone was hospitable. The coach was such a more comfortable ride than the see-sawing school bus. Thank you to Erni, VC Kim, and the kitchen staff for putting together a great St. Patrick's Day dinner upon our return and to DJ Ken Z for spinning some great tunes. Thank you to everyone who helped greet Galloway YC as they invaded us the same night for their landcruise. It was a fun-filled packed day of activities and could not have happened without the help of each and everyone who lent a hand that night.

A great big THANK YOU to Bob Guilday, his wife Sue, and the rest of the crew who helped put together another successful Bull & Oyster Roast. There was plenty of food, spirits, and music to make the evening a memorable one. The dollars were flowing at the wheels while the music was blasting on the dance floor.

I have recently changed my email address, so if everyone could please update their records, it will make it much easier to get in touch with me. My correct email address is mikegaff@yahoo.com. It may look the same, but you will notice there is no "A" between Mike and Gaff.

This weekend is Easter weekend. I will be spending it with my family and hope that you do the same. Have a great holiday and please be safe.

Message from Vice Commodore Kim Ryan
Is winter finally over?  Hopefully we will start seeing some warm weather.  First, I would like to thank all the members who jumped in immediately to take care of our roof that was damaged from the winds.  Second, I want to thank everyone that has pitched in during the last several work parties.  We are making great progress.

April will be a busy month with several land cruises coming in, our steak dinner, our Spring Fling, and ending the month with Marley Boat Club's opening weekend at REYC.  All are encourage to come greet our visiting guest yacht clubs and I am looking forward to the festivities with everyone.  Remember, parties and fun times also require preparation and clean up, so remember to sign up for hours with kitchen, bar, or me.

It is also time to start working on the exterior of our clubhouse.  To that end, more work parties will be scheduled, so come get those hours in.

Message from Rear Commodore Luigi Toto
Hello everyone another year has gone by, spring is here and time to get boats ready. Wash and wax, get them ready to put back in the water. Planning is in the works for opening days for all the yacht clubs. Much work to be done at red eye Yacht Club, to get ready for the opening day. I'll be there for March the 30th for the Land Cruiser. See you at the next meeting.

Message from F/Captain Randy Hamilton

I want to that everyone that came on our land cruise. I really hope everyone had a good time. The clubs that we visited were very friendly and it was nice to have some of their members there to talk to. That being said, hopefully our members can continue/start to come when we host other clubs. As always, if anyone has any suggestions or concerns, feel free to give me a shout. Thanks

Message from Joan Anderson Chaplain
Joan has resigned as Chaplin of the Red Eye, but will always be praying for everyone. If anyone would like to take over that position, it is open. Just notify the Commodore or the board.
